It’s also kinda funny because back then, I was a single gal with her single pals who were living it up at that trip in 2021, now I came with 3 of us coupled up. Nothing changed though, just a different cool experience being partnered up! This spot is always breathtaking and so significant to my Arizona adventures. It’s amazing to see the weather change so often out here too. 🌲🌲🌲

Loved hearing what he had to say🥰 as a huge advocate of mental health awareness for years, helping people find wellness and healing through adventures, in their backyard or abroad.

Also fun fact: He used to work here as a lifeguard one summer when he was a teen!

Yesterday night, we celebrated my friend @kylee_wese ‘s bridal shower in this Cuban-inspired restaurant @bodegaaz 💖🦩🌈 Its got a super aesthetic atmosphere but the food was pretty good too!! Especially great to share with your friends as they come in BIG portions. I also loved the customer service here as the waitress we had was super attentive and friendly. This restaurant can also be a night club in some nights. If you’re ever around 📍Westgate Entertainment District, definitely check it out.

🌎Happy Earth Day🌎 Man, I can’t express how much I love this beautiful planet of ours. It’s so dang awesome to go and explore. We are so lucky. But we won’t be lucky if all else falls to sh*t. So that’s why it’s important to do what’s right for the planet: make some changes on how and where we leave our trace, clean up the mess and trash we see in our sight, use recyclable items, don’t support corporations that want to do more damage, AND vote off officials that are against helping the environment and don’t believe in climate change.

🌱Also, did you know this month of April is also National Stress Awareness month? Which means we should manage ways to destress and getting outside is one major way to do so.

Exploring #Singapore. 🇸🇬 This was a last minute plan to go check it out from this past summer and due to the crazy circumstances that happened soon after, I hadn’t covered yet how fun, clean, and hyped visiting Singapore was!! This was also the last of my travel stories and location that my dad heard from me, in person. My mom and I came to visit 🇸🇬 along with seeing our family friend’s daughter.

It’s a country (or a city? It is as small as a city!) known for its multiple cultures (with 4 official main languages) that all thrive in this one place. And it astounds me how it all came together to make 🇸🇬. Trying their food was probably my favorite thing out here. Loved it! ✨✨ Expect a few new reels soon to come to see where I visited in Singapore! Especially since I took hundreds of pics and can only choose 10 in here lol.

I wasn’t planning on posting anything like this

I wasn’t planning on posting anything like this soon, but it’s definitely gotten more real. On my last two flights, I recognized part of my #grief would include this experience each time. Feeling triggered after being reminded of your loss is a normal response to grief.

I always loved flying in planes ✈️ , but it definitely does not feel the same. I dread it sometimes knowing I’m going to be reminded back to the hard times I dealt with this past summer when my beloved father unexpectedly passed in the last vacation I had with him. When my mom and I were flying back to America from the Philippines (clip shown here), it was the most saddest flights we’ve taken.

That’s not to say I don’t love the views I see on planes, but sitting there the same way like that very moment of when my mom and I flew back with an empty seat next to us was a very sad experience and us flying back knowing we just left him there until he can be flown overseas for his funeral in America and trying to make sense of what just happened of losing my dad.

This trail is one of my favorites in the Lost Dutc

This trail is one of my favorites in the Lost Dutchman State Park 🥾 It’s the 📍Treasure Loop Trail. There is a $10 admission fee to enter the park.

During this time, you get to see lots of pretty wildflowers (just not a super bloom of ‘em) even when you gain a bit more in elevation. And it’s SUPER green! My favorite part of this trail is the beautiful geology you’ll find along the way including these “Praying Hands”, those volcanic columns.

About 25 million years ago, the Superstition Mountains as you can see here took its erosion from alternating volcanic steam eruptions and this entire area was once covered by all the volcanic ash.

It’s ⚾️spring training season⚾️ here in Arizona!! If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a preseason of the Major League Baseball which includes a series of practice games before the regular season comes. It started back in 1886!

And you can watch these games if you go to MLB.com or download their “MLB Ballpark” app! There are numerous stadiums around Arizona. Make sure to bring your friends!!

Thank you to @visit_arizona for giving my friends and boyfriend the chance to watch a game 🙂 We enjoyed watching @sfgiants vs. @rangers.

🌵Saguaro Trail🌵 wasn’t far from where I live here in Mesa! Located in #TontoNationalForest, this short but moderate trail shows you gorgeous views overlooking Red Mountain and the Salt River. Especially during this time after a few days of rain, it’s sooo green right now.

One of my favorite memories thus far in this year: Polar plunging in the East Verde River isn’t something everyone should do but I chose to because I just loveee cold water❄️

(I don’t recommend just anyone to do it, only people who had trained themselves to get used to cold water.)

….So farrr this year has been a blast. I’ve been spending lots of time with friends, friends who accept my craziness, humor, and charitable personality. This is the year I feel seen. The year I show who I unapologetically am. In fact, this year is probably the most confident I’ve been in my WHOLE life. I’m excited for more adventures to come in 2023!

HAPPY 111th BIRTHDAY to my state of #Arizona! 🏜️ Oh man, where do I start… I first came to visit back in 2016 on a family vacation to finally see my aunts’ and cousins’ home. At first sight, I fell in LoOOOveee. (I’m also aware today is #ValentinesDay.) So then after graduating college and feeling ready to take the leap to start anew, I made Arizona my home. I’ve been on countless adventures and most of my most drastic growth occurred here. I ALWAYS wanted to live in the west coast since I was like 7, a girl who grew up in Jersey.

If you look back on my old posts here or my blog posts, I talk a lot about what my growth was — just addressing important things about ourselves. I’ve hit multiple quarter life crises. These formative years were so essential to my development and there’s no way I can see myself go through them than any other place but here in Arizona. Sure it gets ridiculously hot in the summer, but the rest of the year is pure gold. The wild animals we have, the wild landscapes, the brightest and the boldest and the most colorful sunsets, the friendly locals, the clearest night skies, and the cacti and cacti blooms are some of Arizona’s most best things.

But I can go on. All I know is it was meant to be and I was meant to explore AZ’s gems. And imma keep going…🌞

These past few days were spent visiting the elevated city of Strawberry in Arizona (and returning to Payson). And it was dang unforgettable. It’s almost unreal to me how these cities are less than 2 hours from me.

I def needed to experience winter in this state again. To bond with people whom want nothing but to share good and real times with you. To remind me how to adventure (especially when I was a kid.) I haven’t had sleepovers since college days and now I remember how fun (and sometimes necessary) they are. Maintaining your playfulness as an adult is so so important!!!❄️✨✨ Thank you to my friend Becky for making it happen:)
