FAQs

Here are some frequently asked questions answered. This page is for if you are curious about these questions too.

Can I write a guest blog post here? / Can you promote my company through a blog post?

I get so many emails on this. Unfortunately, I am currently not accepting guest submissions. Because see why below:

Is it true you stopped blogging?

Yes it is true, I have quit blogging at the end of 2024. I just decided to prioritize other things and I couldn’t do that without having to let something go, and unfortunately, blogging takes up a lot of time and energy. I will always look back at this time when I have written up all these blog posts for 7 years and I have enjoyed my time writing and my excitement to share my previous adventures.

I am still going to keep this website up so anyone can always access my 300+ blog posts. 🙂 I will also continue to send some newsletter emails here and there to update what I’m up to, in terms of newer adventures and some tips there, so you can still subscribe to my newsletter below.

How do you afford to travel?

I work to afford it. Everywhere I choose to go to is under my own expenses, for the most part. I also did side jobs to help me afford the travels.

I also do not travel as often as some nomads do because I love a home base to come to and I do not travel for long periods of time. I traveled 21+ states, 5 countries (at this point it’s higher now!), and 9 national parks and hiked 85+ trails only within a span of 5 years before and the early years of this blog. It’s not a marathon or number count at all, but I’ve read about more people going to more in that time frame. You can make a lot of content around those few places though, depending on how much you explored.

I explain in this blog post how I’ve sacrificed things to afford these trips because that helps me save more. Also, I go on so many road trips, more so than I fly out, and is one of the easiest ways to get around from state to state. Check out this post to see how doing road trips can help you save money. I love exploring so much that it’s definitely a lifestyle for me so I’ll prioritize it over other leisures.

I have a question about a specific location.

Please contact me directly about it or please comment below on a blog post. For quicker responses, I will reply back to your blog comment.

What do you use to take your photos? Who takes your photos?

I use my iPhone a lottt. I used my iPhone 6 in my much older posts and then I was using my iPhone 11. The iPhone 11 was quite impressive in capturing great pics of wherever I went. As of 2024, I upgraded to an iPhone 16 so that is what I use for my recent posts. As for cameras, I used to use my Canon EOS Rebel SL DSLR a lot for higher quality pics, and then used a Sony A7 for more recent pics.

I take most of my own photos, but I will ask whoever I’m with to take pictures of me on my camera/phone. And speaking of whom I’m with, regardless of how my blog name sounds, I don’t always travel solo. I mainly do on my hikes though. I’m usually with family or friends.
