These past few days were spent visiting the elevat These past few days were spent visiting the elevated city of Strawberry in Arizona (and returning to Payson). And it was dang unforgettable. It’s almost unreal to me how these cities are less than 2 hours from me.

I def needed to experience winter in this state again. To bond with people whom want nothing but to share good and real times with you. To remind me how to adventure (especially when I was a kid.) I haven’t had sleepovers since college days and now I remember how fun (and sometimes necessary) they are. Maintaining your playfulness as an adult is so so important!!!❄️✨✨ Thank you to my friend Becky for making it happen:)

These ruins can be found in 📍National to Hidden These ruins can be found in 📍National to Hidden Valley to Mormon Loop. But you can find them in other trails too in South Mountain Park and Preserve like Dobbins Lookout and Lost Ranch Trail.

Would you hike here just to get a glimpse of these?

Aloohaaa!🌺 My birthday from a few days ago was Aloohaaa!🌺 My birthday from a few days ago was unforgettable. Thankful for my friends who celebrated with me.

I embrace getting older and I can’t wait to keep sharing the love and laughs for this new year… ya know just bringing aloha🌈 in people’s lives (and in my own life!) in any way I can.

Thankful for every trial, tear shed, and challenge that’s taken me here to seize a new year/age. Here for hope, gratitude, charity, adventures, creativity, and joy.✨✨

There’s a saying I came across that went somethi There’s a saying I came across that went something like “There are people you haven’t met yet that will love you.” I love this a lot because it gives me the reminder that no matter who has left you in your life (whether intentionally or not) or hasn’t been there for you enough and if you ever feel the weight of that pain, look at the emerging beginnings for you. There ARE people who you haven’t met yet who can love you so much and more. You have so much more to offer in terms of your light and love and these people will count themselves so lucky for having to experience you and even to the depths that you may show, through trust and through reciprocity.

I know we probably have experienced so much in the last year with loss and grief. As I have. Those can close you off and get you questioning “what is the point of love if you can lose ‘em?” As much as I love being by myself, I thrive off the close relationships in my life equally, while not ever neglecting my own relationship with myself.

But when things in life get to the hardest points, remind yourself you will not be left behind because you’ll most likely spark a new motivation to prove those hard points. And it’s through the new people and experiences that have yet to show up in your life, if you are willing to receive.

I may have been talking about grief lately and openly through here and my blog, but my dad’s loss has really bought me to greater understanding of how important loving people are and how important it is to be there for them. My #grief forever changed the person I am, as it will for all of us who have experienced similar great loss.
It was an amazing way to end the year in #Nevada!! It was an amazing way to end the year in #Nevada!!! 💙🦋 I guess I can get used to coming “home” here. Thankful to have spent the last days of 2022 with my mom. My mom is the strongest woman I’ll ever know and she deserves the world 🌎.

I never thought about spending the holidays out here as I used to not like #LasVegas, but I’m so glad I got a different perspective of it now that I’ve gotten older. 🙂 Las Vegas is pretty epic and I know there’s sooo much more to explore in this state in general!

And with that, HAPPY 2023!! ✨✨✨

My family has raved about #RedRockCanyon…so my m My family has raved about #RedRockCanyon…so my mom and I had to check it out for ourselves while visiting here in #Nevada. It’s hyped for good reason. The geology to be found here is gorgeous.🔥🏜️

Since it’s that time to recap the year…. 2022 was a veryyy mixed year for me. It had some amazing adventures but probably the hardest trials I had to go through in MY life, with anxiety and depression. I don’t think it’s the worst year of my life even though I lost the closest person in my life because those last years spent with my dad were some of the most beautiful memories of my life especially when it came to travel memories. This loss heightened my understanding how life is NOT to be wasted!! So go for whatever will make you happy and take your dang chances.

2022 made me rethink about how passionate I am in everything I do and to NOT quit. Everything I do in my life I put 100-110% of my effort but it’s so easy to think it won’t pay back, but little by little- it will! I’ve also committed to major life changes this year.. moved to a new city but still in Arizona🌵.

I can write this longer but I already wrote my thoughts in a blog post lol. So lastly, I learned laughing is probably by far the best medicine in life (aside from spending time outdoors). I can see jokes and laughs may be more healing than we think it is!! So it’s important to experience that as much as we can in life!

I will remember that nature, writing, my faith, and being able to have shared company with the sweetest & funnest people are the key points in my life that I go back to, over and over again. That’s how I make sure each year won’t disappoint.

HAPPY 2023✨✨✨ I KNOW THIS YEAR’S GONNA BE GREAT FOR MANY OF US and full of GOING FOR MORE DREAMS.

Hope everyone’s #Christmas was amazing!! 🎄 I Hope everyone’s #Christmas was amazing!! 🎄 I don’t know about y’all, but we’re still celebrating the holidays and admiring all the decorations even after. 😬 WINTER FESTIVITIES DONT STOP.

This Christmas season has been a blast. There were parties, festive music to hear, gift exchanges, so much wonderful food to eat, many games to be played, laughs shared, so many nativities to admire, so many bonfires and so many hot cocoa drinks sipped.

But my favorite was coming here to #LasVegas while visiting my mom out here where she recently moved to. Last night we saw the detailed and epic Christmas Display that @bellagio went amazingly far and beyond for!

The outdoors was my place to feel the peace, but i The outdoors was my place to feel the peace, but it seemed like it’s been hard to feel the peace I once connected with when #grief took place. In spite of having to deal with grief, I still try. I still try to remind myself what I loved and what my dad knew I loved so much.

Apparently, it may be normal to lose interest of what you once loved, your hobbies and anything else once you experience a huge loss.

I made promises to him that this is what I’ve put into for years, sharing my adventures to help others find adventure in their own lives.

While I’ve kept talking about the geological history or history of places I go to, I also love to talk about how to survive when life doesn’t go as planned. And I know if I can continue to bring in content that focuses on working on our wellnesses and connecting it with travel/the outdoors, this will direct a purpose, not just for me but to see others rejoice in the fact they’re not alone.

Whoa…I haven’t posted in a month! Been busy ad Whoa…I haven’t posted in a month! Been busy adjusting to moving to my new city in Mesa here in Arizona. 🌵 And took the time to focus on these new changes/major transitions.

Here’s an apartment tour of where I’m currently living in. Such a cozy place and pretty much my office space too lol.

Had to record the process of me setting things up and adjusting to this new place. Tbh, I said yes to this place when I only just saw it through FaceTime without visiting it in person when it was listed in a LDS YSA Housing FB group. Risky? A bit. But it turned to be a great choice! 😂

And here’s something I def learned in my life: Never say never.

Also not pictured: The pool and hot tub area in our apartment complex.

Happy #NationalTakeAHikeDay!! 🥾 I loved this pe Happy #NationalTakeAHikeDay!! 🥾 I loved this peaceful short trail in #JuneauAlaska!! It’s literally by Mendenhall Glacier’s visitor center and you can hike this before you get on well-known Nugget Falls Trail. There’s a $5 permit to get on this. It’s sooo green in the summer, and might be pretty cool in the cloudy/foggy weather too!!

Steep Creek’s waters are the life to salmon eggs as it brings oxygen as they’re buried in the gravel bed of the stream. These young salmon then migrate to Mendenhall Lake and after 1-3 years, they undergo physical changes to go live in saltwater where they then migrate to the sea.

🇮🇸Repping the land of fire and ice, which is 🇮🇸Repping the land of fire and ice, which is Iceland of course! Missing that country.🇮🇸

I really don’t know where to start and even if you don’t pray, I would really appreciate prayers. These life changes, man. From losing my dad almost 2 months ago and going through all that craziness, to having to move to a new city and feeling like this kick to restart my life here, to being in physical pain often from chronic illness and waiting over a year for disability just to get rejected- I could just throw in the towel and be giving up already.

But there’s a little thing in me called my faith, which is telling me to keep going.

And through these changes, there is some hindsight to them. As I’ve moved, I’ve decluttered a lotttt. It’s made me think about how much I’ve evolved so much from my late teens and early 20s to now like how I used to shop a lot and store away crap that I forget to use (such as makeup lol). I really am not the same person I was where none of those matter no more, and to gain wisdom really is a gift. I can also say I’m definitely stronger than I think I am too, and all of what I’ve been tested with showed it.

So here’s the thing y’all…DON’T let all the bad stuff, your ruminating thoughts of if you’re even enough, your heartbreaks, your rejections, your stress, and any circumstances that feel like it’s always unending TAKE YOU away from your potential, all the beautiful moments to still live by, & all the life lessons you still have to learn (trust me, I feel like I’ve grown already for my age but truth is you never do stop growing). Use your disadvantages to an advantage and live out and tell your stories!!

And I never will stop writing too. ✌🏼

Ever look back at your memories where you just fel Ever look back at your memories where you just felt safe and absolutely loved existing in those moments? This was definitely one for me. 🌲🌙 These moments of peace and rest with a beautiful sunset to watch and to sleep watching the night drop are def nights I live for.

And oh what I would do to constantly feel that than feel “pressure” to be elsewhere and constantly doing something, than where I have to be in the very moment.

Right now, things feel super difficult. But I know Right now, things feel super difficult. But I know it won’t always be like that. I have faith things can feel as wonderful as it did. As I was able to see the light in the dark tunnel from many, many other circumstances in my past come to fruition. Here’s your reminder to NEVER GIVE UP on you. 🤍🌱

2021-2022 did come with amazing memories!! From hiking in breathtaking nature, spending time with my church, exploring abroad, spending time in the water like I love, pursuing my passions, getting back to working out, and learning to constantly love spending time with me. A mix of being a bit addicted to living a life worth remembering and being a bit addicted to personal development.
✨Finally showed my siblings & mom a typical solo ✨Finally showed my siblings & mom a typical solo hike routine I’d do for the last 2 years- go to Skyline Regional Park and then get @culvers hahah🤪

~First off, I know I haven’t been consistently posting on this blog IG of mine as I had plans to. It’s been a lottt after the unexpected loss of my dad last month…where we had so much going on since coming home. But I’m also trying to live this life accepting he’s no longer in the picture of our lives. This was the first hike I been on since my dad’s loss, & my dad absolutely knew I loved and thrived outside. I will continue to live my life how he wants me to, carry on his legacy and always remember everything he’s taught & showed me. It’s true that we should not “die with the dead.”

With #grief, it’s not a linear healing process at all but a disjointed one. It will come in lots of waves and will continue no matter where I am in my life; they even say a big loss changes you forever. And I know that it has, but I know this life has so much more in store for me with the person I am now. It just makes you remember to appreciate the things that truly do matter and that wasting time is just NOT on my agenda anymore. I know mortality is just a slice of eternity, so eternity is what I reach for. Just like times like being with my family & friends & going for what’s only right.

So here’s my message to y’all, please hold your loved ones close, make them the center and light of your life. Please stop wasting people’s time if you’re not serious about yourself or anything. Treat everyone and yourself with kindness bc there’s only so much bad we can keep experiencing in our lives. This life is not for wasting at all. It’s doing the most we can while we’re here. Grief can and will make you question about everything you ever knew. And it will break you at times you least expect it to. But I know my dad’s at peace and he would not want me to not feel it too, just a matter of practicing to internalize it, with some work.
