It’s true what they say about the 620-feet #MultnomahFalls! It is THAT beautiful and the tallest waterfall in the state.💧 Here are pics of it in all different angles. Also, the #ColumbiaRiverGorge is one of the most beautiful highways I’ve driven in and it’s just as nice to look over it on a hike by the falls.⁣

It’s been 41 years ago today when Mount St. Hele

It’s been 41 years ago today when Mount St. Helens erupted. 🌋 The top of the mountain were blown away and this major event caused landslides (the largest one in history in fact), floods, and mud floods -- destroying those in its path such as homes and forests from hundreds of miles away.⁣
⁣
A few days ago, I was just at Mount St. Helens National Monument and I got to see this volcanic beauty up close and personal. It’s amazing really to see how big it appears and seeing the aftermath of what it caused from that eruption.⁣

The drive to see the volcano was thrilling too!! The highway is quite an elevated drive but you will be driving through unreal bridges, so many trees, and you’ll be seeing beautiful Mount St. Helens through the corner of your drives as well as the other snow capped mountains. ⁣
⁣
Interestingly, some species did survive throughout this tumultuous event. And eventually, the area around Mount St. Helens served as a living laboratory for scientists to help them understand how ecosystems and species respond and recover from events like these.⁣ I’ll release a YouTube video and blog post on this.

Staying at this super adorable #Victorian cottage tiny home makes me feel like I’m living back in the Victorian era. 🏠 This tiny home has fine elegant and romantic details in every corner. It’s decked with stained glass, a copper weather vane, early 1900s furniture pieces, a fireplace, crystal glassware, and more! There is also a nice table to sit by for eating and for a workspace that is perfect for me to edit my pictures and to work on things on the go.⁣

Lately, I’ve been realizing a lot. Let’s talk about embracing singleness and learning how relationships can help in your development too!⁣

As a completely single woman in her mid 20s, it’s easy to feel discouraged when a lot of people you know in your age are getting married or into serious relationships. I used to feel like my luck was pretty bad in dating when I felt I’ve had to try harder in meeting someone and that it almost felt like a “numbers game”.... When the reality is I haven’t met someone yet who had as much interest to my interests, as one part of the problem. I’ve been told by three exes that traveling & road trips weren’t something they can do/always do.⁣
⁣
And then I got sick. And doubt can fill my mind often that being sick is going to set me back to provide my full energy to someone. But ultimately, I realized that the right one will accept all parts of me, I don’t even have to try hard, and maybe one day, I won’t always have to do things all alone. And that I should be reassured someone is going to take care of me.⁣
⁣
Whether that’s helping me with my blog voluntarily, driving long hours with me to places or exploring new cities. And overall, sharing memories.⁣
⁣
Yes, all around us on social media (and I admit I do this too), we read about loving ourselves, self-development, and the ability to accept independence. It is totally amazing to do all those! It also makes you more ready, well-rounded, and to become a better person. And don’t get me wrong, I am ALL for it and I LOVE exploring solo.⁣
⁣
However, you can only do things alone for so long. If you do desire a romantic partnership in your life, this starts to become important too and that times of loneliness can be unavoidable. So let those feelings out! But it may not last longer than you think.⁣
⁣
Embracing your singleness in your adventures is what is going to allow you to be more comfortable in who you are and what you’ve been through. And when Mr./Mrs.Right comes, they will love that you had passion to show for before. And that maybe you have passion to also offer someone else for the long haul of love. 🌿

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 I freaking love this planet of ours. We are all so blessed to live in such a beautiful place! So we must all take good care of it so that we can also live a quality and healthy life.⁣

💚 You can be that person and do simple sustainable practices to keep our environments protected! First, speak up and talk about these issues, however you can, whether it’s through social media or even comment on regulations.gov and put your thoughts out there. Then you can do simple things such as turning off lights when not needed, stop wasting water and turn it off when not needed either, stop home leaks, and carry reusable water bottles. Also, please do not litter and throw out all your garbage properly especially when you’re in beautiful places like this (shown in pic)! ☺️ ⁣

HAPPY #NationalParkWeek! 🏞 I haven’t been to

HAPPY #NationalParkWeek! 🏞 I haven’t been to one in SO long, but I got a few national parks to visit in the next few weeks. I’m excited! 🤫 (new & old) I was on a roll from 2018-2019, visiting 9 different ones in a year. Almost 3 years ago, my friend and I went to @yosemitenps. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The reason you see some haze in these pics was because we were visiting in the middle of a wildfire!!! I even have a clip of the wildfire happening when we passed by it in a shuttle bus. The area we visited was safe from fires though but the smoke had spread a lottt so it smelled like a BBQ throughout but it also pushed our plans and what turned out to be a day trip there turned to an overnight stay at a ski lodge.⁣⁣

I loved visiting The Ansel Adams Gallery, a whole gallery dedicated to this iconic photographer. As a now practicing photographer, I LOVE Ansel Adams’s work. Especially that grayscale picture he took of Half Dome from 1927. You can see my hazy Half Dome iPhone 6 pics here 😂 And one of my highlights of this visit was hiking to Lower Yosemite Falls and dipping inside the cold falls water, which was refreshing really for a July visit. 💧 ⁣⁣

...All we need is to see what’s in front of us now to recognize the good it radiates and then to reflect back at just how good some times were. After all, some memories can never repeat itself. Some memories can also never be with the same people, every person will be unique to a situation. ⁣

Here’s a beautiful memory of me back in 2016, my first trip to the desert and that’s the moment I knew... I was in love. In love with wanting to open up my curious mind. Like what? These huge lands of geological gorgeousness really do exist?!⁣
⁣
At this time, It was just raining a lot but everything around me was green and it smelled like that fresh after-rain aroma. 🌧 I’m glad I figured it out at a younger age when all I knew was what I knew. ⁣
⁣
Here are other beautiful memories I got to experience too that I’ll never forget *friend & solo edition*:
⁣
• The time I was swimming alone in the pool at 7k+ elevation of the lodge I booked in a solo trip at Colorado’s Estes Park.⁣
• Night swimming & floating around with my girls @jaymerrrzzz & @simply_samoan07 at Lake Pleasant⁣
• Holding hands with @pasqualinaaa_ and our crew in Italy & running straight for the ocean to go night swimming⁣
• Dancing in the hot tub at night in Florida blasting Dua Lipa tunes with @innoncenceandpills & @solinmar⁣
• Playing a bunch of games and inviting people we just met on apps at @mira_esther’s house with so many funny memories⁣
• Iceskating and exploring the Christmas Market in PA with @innocenceandpills and @leiselee13⁣
• Baking with my friends⁣
• Stopping by a random Malibu Beach at sunset alone and watching it go down until night time⁣
• Late night dancing plans with @aafernands and @dtt8519⁣
⁣
SO much freaking beautiful memories to reminisce on and I’m excited for what else is to come and conquer. ☺️ We should look back and celebrate all the good times as time is always changing and it’s normal to get caught up in the busyness of the presence.

Ahhh it’s been a while since I’ve traveled out

Ahhh it’s been a while since I’ve traveled out of state... and as you can see, I have just been exploring BUT loving it here in my home state in beautiful Arizona! The pandemic really could make you want to make the best out of your home place. ...But in a few weeks, I will be flying elsewhere 👀 to states I’ve never been to before and I also have a couple of national parks on my list. 2021 is the year for more new (and old) travels. 2021 is the year for positive growth I’ve been manifesting for YEARS. The universe hears me. 🙏🏼⁣

I’m currently working on a blog post of 10 Things To Do in #AustinTX and here’s a few things to look for there:⁣

☀️ Congress Avenue Bridge: A park where a lot of people can easily find some nature escape in the urban city of Austin. You can find a lot of people doing their early workouts or are just strolling by to get fresh air. Also, did you know between 750k to 1 million bats emerge out of it by dusk time?!! 🦇 ⁣
⁣
☀️ Congress Avenue: It’s easy to walk from Congress Avenue Bridge to Congress Avenue, which is a 6-lane street that leads to the heart of downtown. You can find unique shops, restaurants, and food trucks there. Along here, you can also walk easily to the #Texas Capitol Building.⁣
⁣
☀️ East Austin: There’s alotta good restaurants to find including this amazing ramen place called Ramen Tatsu-Ya. Breakfast tacos and burritos are also a thing in Austin and can be found there too. (Try these places: Taco Deli, Taco Xpress, Counter Cafe)⁣
⁣
☀️ Mount Bonnell: One of my favorite places I’ve seen in Austin! Also because it’s the highest point in the city. This short hike through a 106-steps staircase leads to a historical monument and then a view of the Colorado River (NO not the one in AZ). ⁣

Where’s my camera when I needed it?!? Well the iPhone does a fantastic job too right?😌 Did not have it twice from the Black Rock Loop Trail in #WhiteTankMountains to the Little Walking Jim Trail right by #LakePleasant (**Brownie points for you if you can spot the DONKEY!!! I was face-to-face with it at one point but he went his own merry way). ⁣

Sooo here’s a few updates of what’s been going on besides the fact I’m now vaccinated 🙌🏼 with Pfizer #goodbyeCOVID19 💉 ...⁣

🌵 I missed almost a whole season of hiking in the winter because... illness. 😢 But I’m trying to get myself out there still, even just focusing on less elevation gain, to let my lungs and joints take it easy. Finishing some hikes have been a challenge for my body lately but any hike with scenic views is my thing regardless. I just completed editing my story video about what I am going through.. coming very soon to be published.⁣
⁣
🌵 I QUIT my full-time, 9-5 job. This was something I didn’t think I’d end up doing sooner but after a year working for Facebook, it was time. The biggest push was trying to focus on healing from my health issues. But I just started feeling uninspired and unmotivated towards the end with my blog and I did NOT want that to happen. I hardly had time to go as far as I want with it. My blog work and my love for capturing nature & creating travel/outdoor guides always lit a fire in my soul and always helped through all the hard times I’ve gone through... Like from the first time I moved here and had a dilemma whether to start a new life out west to the times I went through heartbreak and grief to the time I was unemployed for a year and had a hard time finding a job. ⁣

I knowww it seems crazy and not smart to quit a job in the middle of the pandemic. Let alone, I was close to getting promoted to a lead role but turned it down because I quit already. ⁣

Happy #InternationalWomensDay & #WomensHistoryMonth! 💞 This month is all about us, ladies. And I promise what I’m going to say here has a point:⁣

...Do I prefer me playing outside vs. me working inside (all day)? It def leans more towards playing outside...🙂 But it depends!⁣
⁣
As a woman who works in business, if this was me back in the 1920’s, my contributions would’ve gone unnoticed. Actually, scratch that. I would’ve not even been able to work and instead bear children and care for them only. I would’ve been hiking in a dress and not with pants, but I wouldn’t have been allowed to play sports or do outdoorsy stuff like men did. I would’ve simply not been allowed to do a lot of things simply because I’m a woman of color. I would’ve not been able to take part to vote in this year’s election.⁣
⁣
But because of the resilient and encouraged women who stepped up and spoke up, we were granted more rights. Taken more serious and seen with more respect. It took activists to win the right to vote for 100 years and now that we are living 100 years later from the 1920’s, we are still fighting for a little more: equal pay and unpaid domestic work, stopping “slut-shaming”, the end to human trafficking, health services that respond to us, etc. There’s always a fight for us women. But We. Do. Not. Give. Up.⁣

And we did come a long, long way. 👏🏼 To the women who work hard to be the woman you desire to be and making a mark to the world, THANK YOU. Be proud of you and keep kicking ass out there. 😁

Why do I drive an hour away (and another back) to go shoot the outdoors when I have limited time sometimes? Because I work a full-time 9-5 job and another part-time job that I just accepted earlier this month and I’m stuck indoors at home about 56 hours of the week. I CRAVE the outdoors and just driving away listening to the thousands of songs on my @spotify playlist - all these things relaxes me and reminds me to breathe fresh air and feel the breeze. Sometimes, my eyes get so tired from looking at screens all day and that is why I’m not actively trying to gain as much followers or constant engagement on here anymore - I simply do not have that energy right now. ⁣
⁣
I used to travel more before the pandemic and when I was a college student in 2018 which gave me more flexibility, but times are different. However, hikes in my home state, will always find a way into my schedule. I couldn’t keep covering about travel when I don’t travel outside of my state as much right now anymore, so my niche has simply transitioned into the outdoors too.⁣
⁣
I was never a full-time traveler or full-time digital nomad (though that’s on the goal list) and unfortunately, you gotta work more sometimes than you can explore when you haven’t figured your shit out yet. I do want to eventually find flexibility in my schedule with a survivable income because the more time you have, the more energy you can reserve and use to do things. I want to be able to blog full-time too but honestly, at this rate, I’m only seeing it as and generating passive side money. ⁣
⁣
So HERE’s to doing as much as we can, hoping for better times, and reaching for far away goals and dreams. 🙏🏼 DON’T GIVE UP Y’ALL on your passions & hobbies even if it doesn’t seem like you’re going far with it - time will tell where your path is. There were times I doubted where my blog or page is going with this but this is all MY BABY.⁣

**The Superstition Mountains is my most favorite place to be at in my state. I’ll tell that to anyone who asks. You can honestly see why.
