Because the sun travels in a slanting 360 degree circle in the sky closer to these locations, Alaska gets to enjoy longer daylight hours especially in the summer.

I took the @carnival Splendor ship to enjoy the beautiful travels of #Alaska earlier this month! Here are my 11 tips of how to make THE MOST out of your cruise while you’re on sea. Because you’ll spend 2 whole days in the sea to go towards Alaska and a lot in between!

I’m currently writing up blog posts for Alaska so stay tuned by following me/signing up for my newsletter.

Highly recommend this hotel!! Room was comfy and clean and spacious. It’s probs the more affordable ones too after searching around (and kinda booking last minute). If you book on @expedia , there’s also free breakfast.

📍 Currently in and loving #Alaska 🏔!!! I can 📍 Currently in and loving #Alaska 🏔!!! I can’t wait to post all about my trip here… I took a cruise out here to explore the state (and Pacific Northwest). LET’s just say Alaska has became my favorite state! (It’s not hard to see why with these views…)

As some of y’all may know, I LOVE my cold water and I enjoyed polar plunging with some of the guests onboard including the director.

Alaskan waters are cold all year round and idk how cold the water is (probably an easy 30-40 degrees) but it’s definitely worth jumping into during the summer. 😂😉

Stay tuned for more luscious adventures/views….when I get better service.

Always sad to see some pair of good trail shoes ha Always sad to see some pair of good trail shoes having to go!!! 🥾😢 My @merrell shoes have been such an amazing investment as I hiked countless trails with them in 5 years. I really put them to use and they’ve been in some of my memorable hikes especially in the Arizona desert 🌵 since moving here 3 years ago.

Now I need new hiking shoes!! Please recommend me your favorite ones. 😌

A view where you can explore in a cave, meditate b A view where you can explore in a cave, meditate by a vortex, and swim in the creek? Now THIS is a place of adventure. 🏜

Located in a parking area on the creek side of Highway 179 (just past the Poco Diablo Resort), the 📍 Wind Tunnels trail aka Sedona Wind Caves is just 0.5 mile hike up to these red rock caves. This trail isn’t on AllTrails from what I saw and it’s much better to hike when you are guided by a local or someone whose previously done it. There are cairns to help but it can still be challenging to find on your own.

To get to the trail, first you need to cross over the creek, not once but twice. And then it can get pretty challenging as you gotta scramble up… thanks for the help of my friends 😂! Above the caves, you can then go climb up more so that will take you to the vortex by this Juniper tree, which is perfect to meditate by.

The Sinagua tribe used to go here to use these caves as campfires centuries ago, so you’ll see why there are some black marks on the rocks!

Overall, LOVE this special place and if you go to my last reel, you’ll see how fun it was to swim around the creek there. Felt like I was a female Indiana Jones😎

Paradise in Sedona 💦🧘🏻‍♀️🌿 The f Paradise in Sedona 💦🧘🏻‍♀️🌿 The freshwater creek water flows from Sterling Springs Canyon.

There are SO many swimming spots in #Sedona but this particular one can be found when you go for the Wind Caves hike, right next to the Oak Creek so it’s not a popular one. Thanks to my adventurous and strong girl friend @yogi_kenzi for guiding me to a spot that only many locals know about.

Have you enjoyed the water (and even seen these mini waterfalls) in Sedona yet? It was my first time!
One of my girlfriends sent me this audio and I mad One of my girlfriends sent me this audio and I made a reel out of it of course, especially having captured alotta videos from this hike🤣

Ever feel like you romanticize your home state when you’re reminded of the beauty that surrounds you AND when you discover new spots for yourself..? Loved this hike 🥾!!

This trail 📍Wind Cave Trail is located in Usery This trail 📍Wind Cave Trail is located in Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa, AZ. It’s a stunning hike 🌵 all around and leads you to a cave in Pass Mountain (and more than one cave too) and it overlooks the city of Phoenix. You’ll notice the vivid patterns of these granite cliffs are all exposed with lichen. However it requires a $7 permit fee to enter the trail and park.

I personally love hiking caves because there’s so many to find in the desert especially on the east side of AZ. I also love caves for the shade they provide and geological features. Do you like caves too?

Am I under a cave…or am I just under a pool cave Am I under a cave…or am I just under a pool cave? 👀 Really wish it was a legit cave but it’s nice to imagine. 💦

Summer mode is definitely on in AZ. Did you know summer weather can make us happier and healthier though? Here are a few reasons why:

💧It makes us want to eat more fruits from receiving antioxidants, minerals, & vitamins that our body needs. Plus fruits are just super yum. 🍉 🍎 🥭 🍇 🍌

💧 The sun can be a source of happiness & health: With the sun being out most of the time and in much longer intervals, sunlight can actually increase serotonin levels. It is, after all, a source of vitamin D. The sun is also good for treating body aches like muscle stiffness and arthritis (…great for chronically ill people like me!)

💧We consume more water: Being out in the sun and heat too long can make us sweat and dehydrated. That’s why we often feel the need to drink more water and always have a water bottle with us. Water regulates our body temperature and helps with our digestion more. Water is also key to flush away toxins in our bodies and keep our skin looking great.

💧If it gets too hot outside, I get to binge watch inside hahaha on some great movies and my favorite show everr New Girl.

Have you seen some of these benefits for yourself while enjoying the summer weather?
