Best Beauty Products You Should Bring Traveling

It’s really amazing to look back at a year ago when I first created this blog. I have just transferred to a new college. I didn’t expect that I would still be very active with this blog because I was just giving it a shot but I discovered that this is one of the passionate hobbies that I thoroughly enjoy in my sometimes-mundane-life, which is writing about all my small and big adventures and having people be in the loop of what they need to know when they travel too. Speaking of looking back a year ago, TODAY is From One Girl to One World’s first year anniversary and I’m sharing some beauty insights with you on this post.

Along my journey as a blogger, I have met and networked with other amazing women and men who have also dedicated a portion of their life to traveling and talking about the things they’ve experienced.

So in honor of when this place on the web came up and connecting with those who appreciate the beauty of all forms as I do, I decided to talk to some people who enjoy traveling as well and I wanted them to share a couple of things they would want to let others know. I had to ask them, “What are your favorite beauty products to bring when you go traveling?”

Even though I don’t really make reviews or talk about beauty products, there are people that love discovering beauty products and the wanders that products can do to our appearances and to revive our skin. It brings us confidence and when it comes to exploring and enjoying our Earth, there are bloggers out there who swear by certain products when it comes down to that.

Traveling can be an exhausting process to go through, often requiring our concentration, energy, and sleep, and we often find ourselves needing some essentials to bring life to ourselves. Not to mention, when we adjust our atmospheres (different weather and temperatures), we have to fit in products that will take care of us for the meanwhile.

Here are 3 awesome beauty & travel bloggers, my older sister (who really loves beauty products!), and myself to tell you guys what are our favorite/top 3 beauty products that we can’t live without when we travel…

Emily is the creator of her blog called Girl in Season. Her blog focuses on current beauty trends and skin care regimens during the different seasons. Skin changes a lot through the year, so Emily wants to help people navigate the various beauty concerns, problems, or questions that they may encounter throughout the year. Traveling is a big deal when it comes to beauty because it opens doors such as learning about new cultures that include new beauty standards and trends.

1. Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil

What is it? Argan oil

Where you can buy it: Sephora and Amazon

Why she loves it: “This is an essential for me not just for travel, but for everyday life as well. If you experience dry skin like me, this oil is a godsend. Argan oil acts as a natural toner, skin and hair moisturizer, exfoliant, and nail treatment, all while not being too heavy or greasy. Not to mention, this bottle is only 1.7 fluid ounces – lower than the required minimum for planes, but a large enough amount to last 3 weeks or more, depending on how much you use! You can find this at Sephora, or if you’re like me and looking for a cheaper price, you can always check Amazon for any sales or markdowns!”

2. Pacifica Underarm Deodorant Wipes

What is it? Deodorant wipes

Where you can buy it: Target

Why she loves it: “These deodorant wipes are perfect for anytime you’re on the go and need a quick refresh. You never know what’s going to happen during a trip. Maybe the airplane is unusually hot or crowded, maybe you have to sprint to catch your train or flight, or you just get so stressed that you start sweating. Whatever the case, these wipes have got you completely covered, leaving you feeling refreshed and smelling like coconuts. You can find these at any Target store.”

3. Laura Geller I-Care Waterproof Eyeliner

What is it? A waterproof eyeliner

Where you can buy it: Amazon

Why she loves it: “I always like to keep some black eyeliner with me when I’m traveling just in case I’m heading somewhere directly after or want to look a little more awake. Simply outlining my eyes make them look much more awake and make me seem like I put wayyy more effort into getting ready than I actually did. What’s great about this one too is that there is a smudger on the opposite end, so you can go for that smoky, sultry look if you want to be dramatic.  PLUS, it’s waterproof, so no awful eyeliner smudges or trails. These eyeliners can be found on Amazon, though I got mine from QVC.”

Where you can buy it: On the company’s website www.reefsun.com

Why she loves it: “Currently, I am packing for Thailand, for a 3 week holiday and this was the first thing I’ve packed in my bag. I’ll be spending a lot of time on the beach in my bikini, so I will need that extra bit sunscreen protection (mine is +30SPF, but you can get the oil with no SPF if you prefer.) I also love the coconut smell and the amazing natural tan I get after just one day at the beach.”

2. Bioglan Super Foods Coconut Oil

What is it? It is an oil which is extracted from the kernel of a coco. It is completely natural and has many health benefits.

Where you can buy it: Local health food shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, and Amazon

Why she loves it: “Coconut Oil is amazing as a face cleanser and night moisturiser. There actually are heaps of ways you can use this oil (hair care, cooking oil, sunburn treatment).

If your skins feeling particularly dry after a long flight or a hot day on the beach, apply it onto your face and body. Your skin will feel absolutely amazing the next day.  The saturated fats in the oil help the skin prevent moisture loss through the pores. This is why it makes your skin look so healthy and smooth. This is my go to! (it is also claimed to provide stress relief and boost immunity). As you can see from the picture, my coconut oil container is pretty well used! It lasted just over a year. Such great value for money, I seriously recommend it. “

3. Nivea Men After Shave Balm

What is it? An after shave balm but Katie believes it is a great primer
Where you can buy it: Local pharmacies, Amazon
Why she loves it: “If you are anything like me, I love trying out new beauty products! I have spent a lot of time and money trying to find the perfect primer that compliments my dry skin and long-lasting for travel. I stumbled across this strange beauty hack while watching one of my favourite beauty bloggers on Youtube. The reason why this balm works so well as a primer is that its main ingredient is glycerin. Glycerin basically acts as a glue which helps make-up last longer. It also isn’t harsh on your skin which is a bonus for me.”

3. Kylie Matte Liquid Lipstick in ‘Ginger’

What is it? A lipstick
Where you can buy it: At the company’s website, www.KylieCosmetics.com
Why she loves it: “It’s a great neutral color and works with every look! Plus it’s matte and stays on for a long time, which you would want when you’re traveling!”

img_5837Gabby (the owner of this blog aka myself)

When I travel, I make sure I pack the things I really need and those are mostly things that I can’t leave without… including some beauty products. I love to glam up sometimes when I am on vacation or when I am going out, especially when a lot of pictures will be involved. I also care about my skincare so I can never go without sunscreen (when there’s a lot of sun in that certain place) and being consistent taking care of my skin. There are different weather patterns in all different places and some of them can affect our appearances or general health, so with self-care, it starts with having the right things to bring!
Now, here are my top 3 favorite beauty products I love bringing to my adventures.

1. Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer

What is it? An anti-stress redness relief facial moisturizer
Where you can buy it: On the company’s website, www.kiehls.com
Why I love it: I received this as a gift from L’Oreal that partnered with an organization that I volunteered to work in as a social media coordinator/web designer and ever since I tried it the first time I got it, I never stopped using it since. It’s a very small bottle but it will last you forever and you don’t need a lot of it. Sometimes, my face turns out looking red especially after I wash my face, but after, I will apply this to reduce the redness and it keeps my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized. I love taking this when I travel because after long air flights or road trips, putting this on will keep my skin feeling a little bit less-dull and more glowy.

2. Batiste Tropical Coconut & Exotic Dry Shampoo

What is it? A dry shampoo
Where you can buy it: Walmart, Target
Why I love it: Dry shampoo is necessary on days when you just don’t feel like washing your hair because it will keep your hair from falling flat or oily. Especially when you go traveling, you may have days where you have no choice to be able to wash your hair so this keeps your hair appearance together. I really like the scent of this Batiste dry shampoo because its exotic tropical scent reminds me if I were on a tropical beach, rain forest, or anywhere where paradise is.

3. Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask

What is it? A moisturizing and conditioning lip sleeping mask (also works like an exfoliator for the lips!)
Where you can buy it: Sephora, Amazon, from their company’s website, http://us.laniege.com
Why I love it: I suffer from chapped, dry lips for almost the whole year (surprisingly, I have found certain countries/states actually do contribute to my lips looking better) so I find this lip sleeping mask to be very essential everywhere I go. After you put it on your lips and sleep with it overnight, you will feel your lips a lot more softer, your dead skin flaking on its own, and hydrated. It also smells great with a fruity berry scent to it!

  1. Awesome, will have to try some of these, esp the dry tanning oil and the surf spray! I ususally save the small glass/plastic tubs from underye cream and put my normal primer and BB cream in those for travel.

    1. Gabrielle

Yes definitely should! They do sound really convenient for beach trips. And that’s actually really smart to do when it comes to storing products!!

  2. claremmbeauty
